Celebrity Cruise Ships
 |
|
Century
Century, the first in a series of
three vessels, debuted in December 1995 for Celebrity Cruises.
Her sister ships, Galaxy and Mercury, followed shortly thereafter.
Celebrity positions herself as a premium level cruise line,
meaning that the target guest is looking for a cruise experience
that includes some of the amenities and refinements of the
luxury lines without losing the element of fun. Century
accomplishes this admirably by concentrating on sophisticated
levels of food and beverage service most often associated
with pricier lines—martini and champagne bars, cigar lounges,
and caviar service—while not skimping on shipboard activities
for passengers who like to let their hair down. Century's
art collection features some of the world's masters: Picasso,
Andy Warhol, and Jasper Johns. |

Constellation
Celebrity Cruise line’s Constellation,
launched in May 2002, is the last in the line's Millennium
series. Largely identical, save for cosmetic distinctions,
Constellation falls right in line with its Infinity, Millennium,
and Celebrity Summit siblings. Among the more innovative
features are all-glass elevators, a two-story library along
with a double-decker CD music nook, a spa-themed thalassotherapy
pool (and healthy dining eatery), and Ocean Liners, its
maritime-tradition–themed alternative restaurant. Constellation,
as with Celebrity Cruise’s other ships, is clearly aiming
to attract the more contemporary, and sophisticated, cruise
passenger. |

Galaxy
Galaxy, the second in a series of
three vessels, debuted in the Celebrity Cruise line in December
1996. Century was first in the series in 1995 and Mercury
followed in 1997. Celebrity Cruises positions itself as
a premium level cruise line, meaning that their target guest
is looking for a cruise experience that includes some of
the amenities and refinements of the luxury lines without
losing the element of fun. |

Horizon
Horizon, is one of three original
ships for Celebrity Cruises including Zenith and the retired
sister ship Meridian. Horizon debuted in 1990, and Zenith
followed in 1992. Celebrity Cruises positions itself as
a premium level cruise line, meaning that their target guest
is looking for a cruise experience that includes some of
the amenities and refinements of the luxury lines without
losing the element of fun. Horizon accomplishes this admirably
by concentrating on sophisticated levels of food and beverage
service most often associated with pricier lines: martini
and champagne bars, cigar lounges and caviar service, while
not skimping on shipboard activities for passengers who
like to let their hair down. |

Infinity
Celebrity Cruise's Infinity is the
line's second "Millennium" class vessel. Like Millennium,
her sister ship, new concepts, from a two-story library
to the retro ocean liner-themed alternative restaurant to
the all-glass sea-view elevators, are replicated on Infinity.
The line's fleetwide dedication to art, natural woods, and
sleek near-Scandinavian styling lends this ship, like others,
an elegant, contemporary air |

 |
|
Mercury
Mercury is the third and last in
Celebrity's Century Class of ships, following Century in
1995 and Galaxy in 1996. Each Celebrity Cruise line ship
in the series has improved design details and passenger
flow over her predecessor. |
